In this class, you will learn how to create a portrait flip book using a recycled food box and brown bags. Simple book binding techniques and how to create whimsical faces on multiple pages for a seamless detailed flip book. (NOTE: Parts of how to create the book is a public video. In this class, we will creating a female portrait painting using acrylic paints and stains/inks on watercolor paper. (A canvas can be used.) We will learn to apply gesso and create marks to lay the foundation of dramatic texture. We will create a whimsical and freeing portrait by applying loose strokes and washes of color.

In this class, we will creating a female portrait painting using collage, stains/inks, and acrylic paints on birch panel. We will learn to using a glazing technique to add a rich glow to our painting. As well as using dry brushing to blend and create drama. Learn how to tell a story using brushstrokes for movement and heavy paint application for depth.

Learn to paint a female portrait using acrylic paints with glazing medium. Create bold contrast with a rich dark background pushing the focal point into the light. Apply whimsical details and colored line work to create unique imagery.

In this class we will create a whimsical female using acrylic paint on canvas. Learn to use water soluble graphite to create your sketch, apply texture, bold contrasts, muted background, and high emotion. Geppetto String is inspired by the fairy tale of unconditional love that Geppetto had for his son, Pinocchio.
3 videos, approximate 75 minutes. Learn to paint a female face using Ranger distressed stain, gesso, Sumi ink and finish the painting off with an acrylic glazing technique.

Learn to create a female portrait with flowing hair, in a painterly fashion, by blending and shading charcoal and pastels with gesso and acrylic. Clothes design will be used to create style and painting cohesiveness explored by creating the affect of 3D flowers.
